Long before they were castmates on Days of our Lives, Matt Cedeno (Brandon) and Eric Winter (Rex) were friends.
"Eric and I have known each other for about five or six years,'' reveals Cedeno. "When I first came to Los Angeles, we were with the same agency, L.A. Models. We went on several jobs together. We once spent a week on a Sketchers shoot in Vegas and hit if off. He's a great guy."
Yet, the two models-turned-actors hadn't seen each other in some time. "Eric had been off in Europe for a while, "says Cedeno. "Then I saw him at the studio one day screen-testing. Of course, I was pulling for him. When he got the job it was great - like an old friend was joining the cast."
Did Cedeno give his friend any pointers about nailing a Days gig? "Eric is full of questions," shares Cedano. "That's something about him that makes me laugh. It's great he does that because he goes into a situation prepared. All I did was try and put him at ease about how everything works around here and filled him in on who was who."
Don't look for them together on screen anytime soon though. " I don't see our two storylines crossing, but it doesn't really matter," shrugs Cedano, who prefers hanging with his pal away from the set. "We were in San Diego at a Light the Night Walk. It was Eric's first experience with a personal appearance, and it was an eye-opener for him. Afterward he was like, ' THAT was so cool.' It was fun to watch."
