Rex created a laser and placed it deep below Salem. He was later kidnapped and rescued by Cassie. She used her telepathic powers to connect with him. The laser caused an earthquake in Salem in which many lives were in peril.

Rex decided to investigate his past and needed DNA samples to determine who he truly is. Mimi decided that she wanted to help Rex discover his past and helped him get DNA samples from Belle and Tony. In the meantime, Rex and Mimi began to grow closer to each other. Rex realized that he needed Mimi in his life. His obsessive behavior could cost him his one true love. During his discovery, he found out that Belle is not his sister, which meant that Marlena was not his mother. Next, he found out that Tony is not his father. Now the real question was, who are his parents? Rex had a dinner in which several people were invited. He got DNA samples from everyone and soon discovered that he was related to one of the people in the room. Turns out hes related to Sami Brady. He concluded that Roman Brady is his father. He hated the idea of being a Brady. He felt the Bradys always thought they were better than everyone else, and they always tried to destroy the family he thought he was apart of. He said two of the Brady children did the smart thing by leaving town, and that only, Sami, the demon spun was left. Through all of this, Mimi comforted him and let him know that no matter what; she would be there for him. His next worry was whether or not Cassie was his sister. He and Mimi got some of Cassies hair from a brush. They also came upon the accident that occurred at the French doors, which Sami fell through. The DiMera housekeeper informed them of what had happened ad that Sami was at the hospital. Rex thought that would be the perfect time to go to the hospital and get Cassies hair tested at the DNA lab.

Everyone was at the hospital keeping a vigil for Sami as he and Mimi arrived. They waited around until Rex finally got the results. He was overjoyed to learn that Cassie was his biological sister but still saddened to know that he was a Brady and not a DiMera. He wanted very much to be a DiMera and wondered what Tony would think if he found out?

Rex and Mimi couldnt be any hotter right now. Stay tuned for more because there will be a lot happening with these two in the next couple of weeks. I CANT WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!
